Daynen is on his way home from his oceanography trip to San Diego. He left Friday night and it has been so weird not having him here. We can't wait for him to come home. Daynen, Reygan and Tayte start baseball/softball this week and we are planning on staying very busy with that. The kids love it and I threaten them often that they have to get all of their stuff done or "they're out!" But the hardest part of the season is Keeping track of the "beast" AKA Ellie. She is all over the place and very strong willed.
Last night we got to have dinner with Tyson and Mary and really had a good time seeing them and their kids. Breanna had so much fin having Reygan read to her and play with her. And Ellie was very intrigued by Carson. Thanks for hanging out with us. We really had a good visit with you all.
The last pictures that everyone has been sending is of all of the cold weather and we are really enjoying our not cold weather and wanted to share our Sunday outdoor fun days that our kids plan. We have really been blessed with great weather right now and we say on a daily basis "this is why we live here!"
In the first picture Jeremy and Tayte were breaking up wood to put in our outdoor fire pit (Jer's fun new buy). Tayte got a splinter and Ellie is walking around with the microphone singing to the radio.
In the next picture the kids were having a bum war!
Also Jer wanted to show you that he still has his hops!
and I'll thow Daynen's pic in too. He is just like his dad!

Hey Jer is the tramp assisting you in your dunk? Don't get me wrong I know you have hops...just wondering. :) If anyone can fend for themselves on projects it's Erika. She just made drawers (like real ones that really work) for their entertainment center. Their house and yard are both looking really good! They are a couple of go getters for sure!
Thanks for the great read. What is oceanography, and why does Daynen get to go to San Diego at such a young age? I love the pictures and we had a great sunny day here in Safford as well, I will second your vote to live in the warm weather.

We have big fluffy flakes falling here and that's why we live here. We're hoping for a snow day tomorrow and a little skiing. Maybe Daynen can grow up to be a Marine Biologist...I hear there are lots of Titleists in whale blowholes that need removing... - Daniel
Looks like fun! Rebecca, oceanography is a big deal here in Gilbert. The kids join an oceanography club and give up their lunch hour once a week to learn about marine life and the water. When all is said and done they go on a marathon field trip. They leave at night - drive all night - get to San Diego and get on a ship and go out whale watching. They get to stay one night and then tour for the next day and return home. In a nut shell, there you have it. At our school it is very competative. I'm not sure how Daynen's school is but they only take one bus - about 35 to 40 kids.
We all know that jeremy can jump -- who says white men can't jump?

Thats awesome that Daynen gets to do that. Its funny becuase Harrison was just talking about how he wanted to be a marine biologiest when he grows up. What ever he will end up being I dont know, he just is really interested with that kind of stuff. I will have to tell him what Daynen got to do. Thanks for the update on your fam. Can't wait to hang out with the Mesa fams in the summer.

Esther you need to make sure you live in the gilbert school district so Harrison can go on this trip when he is in the 5th grade. He would love it. Oh, I get it Daniel, nothing like golfing on the beach!! good times. . .
Oh my goodness! San Diego? What a wonderful trip that must have been! And 5th grade is the perfect grade to take because they're not know-it-all-rude-disobedient teenagers yet. It's a good thing we never have had any of those kind of teenagers in our family! And, Jeremy, you look just as good, jumping for that dunk as you did when you were a kid...just don't forget what happened to your hand when you did that before. Erika, we sure admire your patient support for Jeremy's callings and for his traveling. You're quite a woman. Stephanie, too. I'm afraid I wouldn't have been as understanding and supportive as you both have been with our sons. They are really blessed to have you. Just keep reminding them of that:)
Jeeeerrrr,You still got it! Are you making Erika stand in front of the hoop and promise her when you jump over her to slam dunk it, that you won't hit her? Yeah remember those times and all the times you and I played B-ball and said one more, one more ally-oop. and the car? JER, jumping over the car!! holy cow you're awesome!! It's fun to see all of your kids doing things that we did when we were little the chickens, Daniel having a bum war. good times. It's good to hear from you Erika, and I agree about the weather, spring time in Arizona, you can't get better than that!! It's perfect.

Ha! I was just reading what I had written, it sounded like Daniel is having a bum war. What I ment was the chickens that Daniels kids have and the kids on the tramp having a bum war brings back good memories.
