Hiatt Christmas Party
Grandma called me and wanted to let me know that they are looking at having the Hiatt Chirstmas Party on Saturday December 22nd at 1, "Don't be Late!" says, grandma. So mark you calendar. We will have the soup and sancks as usual. She also wanted to know what the deal was with the Biggs. She wants to please everyone and wanted to understand what we thought about the Santa gifts. Last year Steph put some bags together so each of the Biggs kids got one of those in order to simplify and streamline the Santa process. It worked great. Grandma is trying to figure out if the whole Hiatt fam would rather do that or just keep doing the individual Santa presents. Sounds like she doesn't want the Biggs to do that unless the whole fam does it. We'll see how that turns out. Also she wants everyone's input on how they like the different elements of the party such as: Food (clam chowdah), Pinata (little kid head bashing with a bat), Santa Clause (sweaty Ke.. I mean Santa in a room stacked 3 deep with Hiatts), the Nativity program, and if there any other suggestions. Please comment and know that what is commented is going to be forwarded to Grandma, so be constructive. Thanks for all of your support. All my love, Jeremy

I doesn't sound like Jeremy wrote this blog! I like everything about the party! The generic gift was so that all the kids pretty much got the same toys (girls go Girl toys -- Boys got boy toys) Then no one feels bad when they didn't get as good of present as someone else. I like the idea that kids 10 and under can really sit on his lap and "ask" him for what they really want for Christmas. I think the older kids can do without sitting on his lap! We will do whatever Grandma wants -- The mostimportant thing is that we're celebrating the nativity and family!
For what it's worth -- there's my imput!

Even though we aren't going to be there this year, I want to have some input. I like the nativity. It's a big job but it is something the kids remember. I like Santa and I like Steph's idea with the Santa gift thing. The only problem with that is who has to do it? It shouldn't be Stephanie every time.
