Albert's Baptism
We realize this is late and don't mean to have anyone drastically change plans for Saturday Morning but if it works for Mom and Dad and after the "Scarf and Barf" we plan to Baptize Albert in Grandma's Swimming Pool. Right thereafter our family will leave back to Colorado to try to get ahead of a big storm. We're trying to get a moment when Connie's Parents and Mom and Dad can be there, otherwise anyone is welcome (no sunday dress required). For those of you concerned about our everlasting souls for not baptizing him in a chapel or for not having everyone in Sunday dress, we've received permission from our bishop that as long as we have two priesthood holding witnesses and Albert and I, he's ok with the baptism... - Daniel

That sounds like a fantastic event. President Hinckley's funeral is at 11:00, and I was hoping to go to that (at a stake center). Do you think the timing will work out for that?
What a memory that will be. Albert will never forget his baptism. We will be there for sure. We are recording Pres. Hinckley's funeral and watcing it for FHE the next Monday.

I didn't know when the funeral would be but I don't think we would go that late at all. I really want to see that too and the documentary after. We can watch it here at Grandma's on BYU-TV or on-line. In that we'll need to hit the road I'm hoping we'll be able to catch a re-broadcast on-line when we get back. Either way...depending on the how long it takes everyone to "scarf and barf and scarf" we should be able to do the baptism well before 11. By the way we are only going to have Grandpa Hiatt say a few words about Baptism. He's been talking about his experience when he had to break the ice on the creek to be baptized so he sympathizes with Albert and what's sure to be a cold experience.
Thank You for letting us know about it. We have a pretty crazy Saturday, so I don't think we can make it. Tayte has a game right at 11 so we can't even send him. But let us know if you decide to change the time or day and we should be able to come. Aren't most of the family planning on being at grandma's on Friday afternoon? But I know you need to make sure Connie's parents can be there, so just let us know if there are any changes.

I let your parents know about the plans for the baptism and they wanted me to relay you this message:
"We'll be there when every you have it, but if the Nevin's can make it there on Friday that would be a great solution since we will all be there anyway. But either way we will be there when ever you decide works best for your family. We are so excited to be there for you Albert!"
Grandma/Mom
I think the Nevin's can be here either way. Our concern was we didn't want to take time away from everyone visiting with Mom and Dad when that's really the reason everyone is gathered. I'll talk to Connie and we'll see. Thanks.
We're going to stick with Saturday and again we understand that some can't make it. We will do it between 10 and 11 so those who want to watch the funeral at Grandmas or at a Stake Center will have plenty of time. Connie's parents won't be able to get here until that morning. - Daniel
