trip to Colorado

We, along with Daynen, took a trip to Colorado last weekend to visit Daniel and Connie and their family. Porter had his 12th birthday and received the Aaronic Priesthood, and we also had the opportunity to meet Jonathan and welcome him to our family. He is very loving and affectionate and took to us right away.
Lunchtime. Can you believe a peanutbutter/strawberry sandwich?

Porter's birthday. Here the kids are clowning around with Jonathan.

Here we are with Daniel and Connie's whole family. This picture was taken on their deck, with their mountain behind us.

On the way home, Daynen, (who had stayed up all night with Porter the previous night, and who slept almost the whole way home) woke up long enough for us to take his picture by the Temple in Monticello, Utah.

Parker's getting tall! That's cool that Daynen got to go. And looks like Porter got some good stuff!

Parker may be tall but I'm determined to stay taller. I'm not sure how but I'll grow if I have to. It was great to have Grandma, Grandpa and Daynen here and we miss them already. As always we wish they could stay longer. On Friday we went on a cave tour up the Iron Mountain Tram and that was very cool. A lot of steps but very cool to see all the formations etc. deep in the mountain.

JoNathan really did draw right to Grandma and Grandpa, giving big hugs all weekend just like he's always known them. We were very happy to have them meet.

Also notice the fire in the fireplace...It was a cold June 5th day for Porter's birthday so we had the fire going when Grandma and Grandpa arrived. Thank you for coming up and we hope to see you again soon.
