Jer looks so tired, & NO I did not drag him to this,
He is a Twilight DAD and proud of it!
Yes, we did it! After 3 hours of waiting in line with a bunch of 30 something women and a little less teens, we saw Twilight at midnight! (Jer has got the job in the morning so I saved him a seat and he didn't wait in line.) The cheers and clapping really made this a fun experience. The theater was PACKED! Not one empty seat in 4 theaters.
Jer joined 8 of us ladies and enjoyed the movie with us!
My review:
If you loved the book, you will love the movie. It is definitely a lower production movie, which to me makes it more raw and real. You can follow the movie great if you have read it. The actors were great. Edward was very serious but funny. Kristen Stewart did a great job with the character. The Cullen fam was great. They all played their part well. The only one that was a little odd was Jasper (in a good funny way). Three words--Edward Scissor Hands!
It was worth it to us!
*the previews were FREAKY! That is the only part I don't want my kids to see. They had a graphic preview for a pretty scary movie. All us moms were shrieking and screaming. But, really it is creepy in an evil sort of way. I am not joking. If you take your kids, take them out for the previews, like, seriously! (The movie is called The Unborn-keep your kids as far away from that preview as you can!) Check and make sure if you kids see this movie that this preview is not before it.

Stetson and Levi saw the midnight movie with about a million teens -- I don't think they got it since they didn't read it. They said people kept laughing at places that we didn't think were funny.
I beg to differ. I did not like the movie -- I could have done a better makeup job than the pros. The special effects were special ed. I liked Bella, Carlisle, and Charlie. My favorite was Jacob ((WOW!) Otherwise I really was disappointed.
i went to the movie the next day and that freaky preview scared me so bad. i had to sleep in hannahs room. lol. well i loved the movie but havent read the book but im on it.

I absolutly LOVED it!!! Jer and Er did a good job at setting it up for me. I was so glad that MY money went to the blockbuster earnings! I can't wait to see it again!
Actually I liked it to. I wasn't quite sure about Jasper. But I liked everyone else,
Mom's computer is down so she dictated over the phone what she wanted me to type. That is why our english major mom has some typos. mY bAd!!!
Just went for the 2nd time. We took our kids and they all loved it! Jer & I can't wait to make our third time with you Mary (and if anyone else is interested???)
We loved it just as much as the first, if not more. I did get this time that Jasper is so weird because he is trying to fight the urge to kill the whole time ("the latest veg head"). Jer said that he now has the urge to read the whole series again. Oh wait, he hasn't even finished B D yet! Go figure. But it was announced that they will start making N M, yea!!! But the movie made $69 mil. and it only cost $37 mil to make.
And Steph, I do agree about the make up. But I still loved it!
Yea! My computer is back up again. Thanks, Daniel. Now I can enlarge upon the comment I had Mary write for me. I liked the movie. There were some things I wasn't crazy about, but the whole thing, in general, worked for me. I wasn't crazy about Jasper or Edward's sparkle. Charlie, at first, seemed too young and cool, but I ended up liking him. I started out thinking Edward wasn't nearly beautiful enough, and, of course, he wasn't, but by the end of the movie, I couldn't picture anyone else in that role. Bella was good and Alice had the perfect look. Both Emmett and Rosalie need to be replaced, I think, and like Steph, I thought Jacob was perfect for what he was in the first book. Of course, when he begins to grow to a huge 6'5". they will have to get a different actor because he won't even be able to wear tall shoes since he is half naked most of the time. :) I can hardly wait for NM...and I don't mean New Mexico.
I loved it too. And yes Jer and Er you for sure need to see it with Mary. Jer on one side of her and Er on the other. Rebecca got up during the first part and made Esther sit by Mary So she could feel the excitment that Mary was throwing around. I was on the other side of Mary It just made the movie better because she loved it so much. fun!Rachel
