8-27-06 from Portugal

Here are Dad, the Elders and Rui(pronounced Hooey)washing the dishes after Sunday dinner. Rui is a great guy, very friendly and nice, and working through some problems, so the Elders are sticking pretty close to him and brought him to dinner with them.

Hope you can see the parking picture we were trying to get. See the cars stacked up and double parked into the street? People park wherever their car will fit, even on the sidewalks, and double and triple parked out into the street. If you block someone in, they'll just honk their horn until you come and move your car.

Here is Dad in his Portuguese hat. Isn't he cute? We are at the beach in Foz do Arelho, about 10 minutes from our house. We know missionaries are not supposed to go to the beach, but we are a senior couple, so what can we say?

Here is our cute little Opal, in front of our house, and Dad says, "our cute little Grandma" by our Opal.

It was so far away you could hardly tell it was you. I'm sure you're crush'n on all the cute portuguese boys. :) I'm sure the elders love to have a good American home cooked meal. Tony is wondering what you had. Keep sending pictures it's so great to see you, and to see what you see. love you and
