Mary, that is a great picture.
We just returned from camping. We drove up to the Flat-Tops behind our house which is about 7 miles as the crow flies and about 30 miles driving. It rained a lot but we had a great time. We stayed on the edge of a huge meadow full of wildflowers and and Aspen groves. One quick Shadrachism...We were concerned about Mountain Lions so we were talking about how we were glad to not have seen any and Shadrach added, "good thing we didn't see any Meadow Lions either."
It was a great trip and one that I think we'll look back on for a long time to come. Devynne taught us all her girl's camp, camp songs and we had lots of great food. I don't know that the food was really all that great but camping always seems to make it taste great. After we arrived it rained and rained but fortunately we had our camper trailer so we stayed dry. Also Devynne taught the kids a goofy girls camp rain dance and song and it cleared up the rain just long enough for us to make some SMORES. The morning was nice and clear for the girls to go on a wildflower hike but just after we gathered everything to leave, it started to rain again. It was a great trip.
Mom and Dad, hope all is well in the MTC and look forward to some updates...

You guys are so awesome. I bet you will remember that camping trip forever. We often think back to our fishlake days
Daniel, for some reason, I am just reading this blog for the first time! It is Tuesday, 8-22. It gave me a good laugh and made me remember our camping trips to the mountains. Thanks for the memories. Mom
