More pictures from Portugal 1-21-06


Here is an old fashioned Portuguese windmill still at work on a small farm in the country,

These modern windmills dot the countryside, standing guard over all the cities. They generate electricity, I think.

This is one of the castle walls.

Here is the castle kitchen. Note the huge fireplace and the smaller oven.
