These modern windmills dot the countryside, standing guard over all the cities. They generate electricity, I think.
This is one of the castle walls.
Here is the castle kitchen. Note the huge fireplace and the smaller oven.

I will join in with every one else and say those pictures are amazing! you guys have a lot of good post card pictures! and I especially love the one of you both together! It makes me miss you guys even more. Mom I love your curls, Portugal has been good to your hair, and you were so worried. :)
