Shannys Haircut

Shannyn got her hair cut super short and it's adorable! She donated it to locks of love and shes very happy with her new haircut. shannyn also got her eyebrow cut by Nathan's car door. she has had a very eventful weekend. They glued her cut and she was very brave. - Devynne

I wanted to add to the blog too and say how much we enjoyed having Nathan and Shauna, Joshua, Bethany and Hannah visit us over the Thanksgiving Holiday. Nathan will blog some more pictures when they get home. We had a great time visiting about traditions and while sadly Nathan has reached the age of forgetfullness, I was able to help him remember how things really were when we grew up. The boys just loved playing with Joshua and what a great example of a young man he is and believe me, he has a great influence on these boys. Bethany and Devynne had a great time and we're glad they are such good friends and cousins. Hannah is amazing. Our three little girls followed her everywhere and she never acted or seemed bothered at all. They were always playing games, fixing hair or just talking and I don't think our girls have been happier.

The ski slopes were open but due to the short time we had, we decided instead to go up the Iron Mountain tram where we all rode the slide several times and where Nathan, Devynne, Joshua, Porter, Shadrach and Albert rode the Swing for Lunes... Shannyn loved giving her uncle Nathan a ride too fast down the mountain. Those of you who have ridden the sleds know what I'm talking about. I'm sure he was scared. It was a great time and I'm sure the kids will remember it for a long time. Another cool thing on Thanksgiving day, we stood out on the deck and watched as a pair of bald eagles flew overhead. A beautiful thing to see. It was fun to watch the Nebraska v. Colorado game, and the Suns v. Nets game with Josh and Nathan. Shauna, Bethany and Devynne had a chick flick marathon while we watched the games. Shauna also changed the little girls diapers several times which I know they appreciated. Thank you NE Biggs for coming. - Connie and Daniel

Locks of love creates wigs out of real hair for people who have lost their hair due to things like cancer and burns. You have to donate a minimum of 10 inches so she wanted to donate her long beautiful hair to that cause.

Shannyn, your Aunt Jenn donated her hair too. You and she are lucky to have the kind of hair that someone would want! We hope your eye gets better soon.
And, we are so glad that the Daniel and Nathan Biggs families could get together for Thanksgiving. It sounds like you had a wonderful time.
