This place is about 12 miles west of our home. We drove up and sent the boys out hunting for the perfect tree and they found it, perched on the side of a cliff. So being the caring parents we are, we sent them up there with a razor sharp saw and told them to cut it down. It is the perfect tree and it makes our house smell great.
Analynn knocked over this bush then carefully picked up and said to it, "awe, I fix you."

This was an awesome day and I think my new favorite thing to do is go hunt for Christmas tree. These guys all worked hard and we had a lot of fun.

We cut down a tree too, lots of fun although I think it would feel more Christmassy if there were snow like you, speaking of...Parker are you freezing??!! Your blood must have already adjusted to the CO weather. And Devynne driving? No Way!!! Love you guys! keep sending pics. it's fun to see that white Christmases really do exist, I always thought it was a Hollywood trick only in the movies.
You guys have the most fun!!! At least it looks that way. I would love to be there. Daniel you and Connie are making some wonderful memories for your kids.
That looks like so much fun. You are creating some wonderful memories. Remember our trips with the Romneys, Rogers, and others to cut a tree? Maybe thats before you can remember. That is one of the things Mom misses about Christmas is the smell of a fresh cut tree. You all look great--and cold. We miss you all.
Oh my gosh, I'm cold just looking at your pictures. And why the heck is Devynne driving in the snow, and what in the world are you doing letting your sons, climb a steep mountain, with slippery snow and jagged rocks with a sharp saw. There is a reason there is only one tree on that slope. I'm not sure why, but I think that you are very lucky to still have sons to tell the story. Man your kids are going to have some whopper stories to tell when they are older. Honestly, I love to see the pictures and the snow looks like fun.

It sounds like you have everything you've always wanted. Love the pictures. I agree with everyone about those memories. Memories is what will bring them all back after they all grow up and there gone, when they decide to move to another state. And you can't watch your grand kids in there plays or games or piano recitals, those memories of cutting down Christmas trees and fighting bears and mountain lions and hot chocolate by the fire on a snowy day, will bring them home. And if for some reason they can't come home they will always have the "memories."
Anyway good job. It's good to hear from ya.
