We were so excited to take the babies outside, for there first snow experience. They Hated it, and were down right scared of it. They are desert rats for sure. Luke and Rylie have been playing non stop and Tony got in on some major snowball fights. Isabel like me, got cold quick, all in all a Blast!!!
I heard on the radio that someone living here from Minnsota called and said "what's the big deal?" Reid Richins said when it's 119 degrees there in the summer then you can talk then he played "The weather ouside is frieghtfull..."this is a big deal!" Everyone is having a blast the neibhorhood ais hopping with people pulling there kids with whatever homemade sled they could come up with. The Konopnickis got a McDonalds sign and tied it to his car and was pulling the McHugh kids.

Thank you for all the pictures so we can share in this. What fun. That's as much snow as we used to get in St. Johns. Can you take some pictures of the back yard? Is the little citrus tree frozen? Did it snow in Mesa--does anyone know? Be glad you have warm houses you can go into. Sometimes blessings like that go unnoticed until you don't have them. M & D
Shannyn and I were looking at your pictures and I kept saying to Shannyn, "look at all that snow at grandma and grandpa's house." I tried to explain that this never happens, but I don't think she understood. She just kept saying, "can I play on Barbie game now." I guess she's used to having snow so she doesn't see the big deal,but I do. I think this is amazing. I hope you all are having fun. And I hope you have enough hot chocolate to go around. Did you have any firewood to start a fire in the fire place that probably has never had to be used?
Stay warm. Oh, and one more thing, if you have to drive here is some advice I was given when we moved to Colorado. Stay way behind others and after being stopped at a traffic light wait at least 10 seconds before going through a green light. Other than that have a great time.

Rachel I really can't tell you how much I want to be there. Maybe, though I highly doubt, I can go to Arizona for the summer and stay with your family at Grandmas and Grandpas house. I could be your official babysitter Rachel. I don't think my parents will let me but I haven't even asked them yet. That would be so awesome.

NO...Devynne can come for a visit but not the whole summer, I'll miss her too much. Amazing pictures and I'm wishing we had as much snow. We're not forcast for more for a week or so and even then it's not for sure. Dad's big pine trees look awesome covered in snow. Those of you from Safford/Thatcher like Scott and Stephanie, has it ever snowed that much before? Absolutely amazing. Just think, if Safford got that much, then the mountain must have several new feet of powder. Have Fun... - Daniel
My girls were upset that you got a snow day & they didn't. (?!) Like we've never had one... You'll have to make snow ice cream - I don't have the recipe handy, but I'm sure you can google it. It's something easy like snow, milk, sugar & flavoring (choc/van). Take more pictures! This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for you!
Another fun thing is to fill up spray bottles with colored water & they can spray pictures in the snow. Hopefully you can do some fun activities before it melts. Go to familyfun.com for more ideas. Have a great time!
What good ideas, Shauna. We used to make snowcream when we lived in St. Johns, but I wish I had known about spraying pictures in the snow. That sounds like fun. Did anyone say whether or not Mesa got any snow?

That's just what I was thinking, Susan. We had a political cartoon with a guy buried in snow holding a sign that said, "Bush, Stop Global Warming!" I thought it was pretty funny.
It snowed so much that it's coming out of Tony's nose! ha, ha...
Devynne, yes come visit I really need a live in babysitter. I don't know about Mesa getting snow.

We had a sunny day here in the Mesa area. They did get some snow in the way north scottsdale and mesa area earlier in the morning. My kids were so sad that they weren't in Thatcher. I tried to explain that you can't just plan on snow there. Maybe in another 20 years. How fun. My brother told me that he had such fun just driving down the road and seeing everyone outside making snowmen and slipping and sliding! Neat pictures Rachel!
