I understand the little response Nathan got on the blog with fluke snow storms and various other demonstrations of global climate change, but now back to the most important thing..."rocket's red glare, bombs bursting in air..." in the mother of all 4th of July shows. Believe me when I tell you the journey to visit the NE Biggs family is well worth the time and will create great family memories. So figure it out, make every effort, and just do it and come prepared for a Blast...literally. - Daniel

AUGUST ~BAPTISM FOR THE DEAD ANNOUNCED BY JOSEPH SMITH
One of the most precious doctrines of the Gospel is the doctrine of vicarious work for the dead. August 15, 1840 is when Joseph Smi...

An amazing gathering of the Tom and Susan Biggs clan! There were 76 out of 91 of us there. And we really had a great time. Everyone ...

The reunion this year was great, as always. It was so relaxing not to be in charge! Jan and Kent were our leaders and they did a great job...

It sounds like a lot of fun!! That is just what our family needs is a drive across country. Daniel did just give me a talk about my priorities so we will really TRY! Tony "Clark Griswald" Alder is already looking forward to it.
That seriously sounds like so much fun. And I want to say, "YES plan on me" but I can't say that so early. So I will go a long with Rachel's comment and say the phrase I'm sure you don't want to hear..."We'll try" And we'll look forward to seeing you at the 7th annual pumpkin carving contest :)
Who is "Clark Griswald?" And what does he have to do with Tony? Or fireworks?
We'll be there if you promise that we can blow up the pumpins when we're done...just kidding...we'll be there for the pumpkin carving.
Just for point of interest...Clark made his infamous journey to Wallyworld on the same path from Phoenix where he dropped off his wife's dead aunt he had tied on top of his station wagon to Nebraska through Liberal Kansas where they saw the worlds largest house of mud. Just think of driving on the same highway as Chevy Chase and Christy Brinkley in one of the great movies that you can only watch after edited for TV with the TV Guardian turned on high and the wife controlling the remote control. That alone should be enough to get you guys on the road... - Daniel
I know, it did seem like this invitation got smothered with snowness. It sounds so cool. If all my wishes could come true, we would be there. Allison and Dallin have EFY from July 2, to July 7th. I think that it is so neat that your two famlies get together and make memories. It seems that when you are alone in a state all your own, you make extra effort to travel to other places. I admire both of my brothers for doing that.
Scott and I are pouring our hearts and souls and everything else to get a subdivision started here in Safford. We have purchased 40 acres of land. We have been through several city meetings and have gotten our zoning changed. Things are going well for the most part, but it takes so much time and money. It will be very exciting. It's going to be the first gated community, with private streets, and great club house with all the amenities. I tell you this to try and explain why we won't be traveling too much this year. I'll try to keep you posted on our progress.

I'm sorry for those who can't come. It will be fun. And even though my parents make it sound easy to get are family to Nebraska or Arizona or any where else, it really isn't. It takes tons of effort and patience. I really want to travel to Arizona more and hope we see you Arizonans soon.

P.S. I won't be able to come for the whole summer to safford but my parents are considering me going for two weeks. I'm excited!
Devynne, since we 'll miss your Safford trip this summer, does that mean that you might consider doing it again the summer after? (2008) Or even better, bring the whole fam.
