Polly and Lillian made a bed outside Sunday night to wait for the snow. i didn't believe that it would really happen, but they obviously had more faith. The 3 boys are snowballs with a water balloon launcher. And then just more snow pictures.

Hey we're glad you all got snow, because you guys are giving us great ideas to enjoy the snow longer. The balloon launcher is a great idea. Did it work? I'm glad you got snow also because we're feeling a common bond. Doesn't it make you want to come skiing now? Maybe when it melts or next year if it happens not to snow and you miss it you can plan a trip our way. Thinking of all of you who just experienced a miracle. We love you and miss you.
What you all need are a few snowmobiles to buz through the fields and around the streets. Looks like an amazing amazing time. By the way, I totally agree with Connie...come for a visit and slap on the skis. Watch the X-Games in Aspen this Thursday through Sunday on ESPN and see our neck of the woods. Its easily the biggest thing that happens snowely speaking in our area. - Daniel
Daniel & Connie, My kids have been watching HGTV and want to win the Colorado home give away. I think it's in Winter park. They are sure that they will win and we can be your neighbor.
I have to tell you my true feelings....I hate the cold. I like the snow at 5:30 am, because it was magical and lumineciant, but I'm done. I thought for sure it would be melted by now and here it is Wednesday night and there is still snow on the ground. I did a "snow go away dance" this morning. And of course the kids were doing a "snow stay dance." I'm a baby. And the LAUNDRY. How do you do it Connie? They get cold and wet several times during the day so they have to change. And then the mudd, it's terrible. The water balloon launcher was cool and a highlight of the morning. Anyway, I'm glad there are people out there that love the snow, because I guess somebody has to live with it, but I'm a desert rat for sure.

Ha ha...laundry is a whole 'nother world with snow, isn't it?! Not only more changes per day & messy, but the clothes are more layers & bulkier! And the salt & stuff from the cars & streets sidewalks tracked in on your floors...Maybe you all will have a little more compassion for those of us out yonder. ;-)
Nathan & I like seasons. Maybe that's what St. Johns did for him & why the younger kids don't like the cold. (?) OK - just Nathan & Daniel, the weird ones...
Did that snow cover ruin your tennis courts? We see people, here playing tennis on the clay courts in all kinds of weather, even rain! But at least it doesn't snow. I, for one, am glad you're a desert rat. We have already lost enough kids to the cold and snow...not that they're lost, but just too far away to touch. Listen to me. We're the one who's halfway around the world! In fact, I guess, Esther, Nathan and Daniel are closer to us than our desert rats!!!
Thursday, and the snow is still here. Isabel, on Monday was so sad at the thought of the snow melting and now she is asking, "when is the snow going to melt?" I asked her why. Apparently the school won't let them play outside with snow on the ground is that true for you in Co and Ne?

The only time our kids can't go out to play is if it is a blizzard or is pouring rain. They will go out if it is snowing. I think the difference is we are prepare with the proper clothing, heavy jackets, warm gloves, hats, snow pants, and snow boots. Rebecca, laundry is bigger,but probably less than what you had because we have the snow pants and snow boots that keep them dry so my kids aren' changing their clothes every time they want to go out. The mud being brought in all over the floor is a pain sometimes, but they're supposed to take off their boot as they come in. Anyway, it's really not as bad as I thought it would be.
