Are you still cold or is it warming up? How long are the winters there? Just wondering.
Parents, it's so nice to see you on the blog. Great pictures, People often ask how things are. I tell them you are loving it.?! Terry Joe Bingham asked today and Adina Birdno wanted me to tell you she is 93. Not whatever you thought she was, I guess on the card you sent you said the wrong age she wasn't sure if you did it as a joke or if you really didn't know.

Rachel, tell her I did it as a joke. I was teasing her about looking younger than she really is. I knew she was 93. I am amazed at how sharp she still is.
It's good to see some more pictures. The men still hand make the fishing nets?!!
Am I the only one that cannot see all the pictures? I can see two of them, but the other three are just placeholders. Anyway, thanks for the pictures, Mom and Dad. It is nice to see you immersed in the culture.
Connie, the winters here are not nearly as cold as they are there! For which we are very thankful because the Portuguese don't use heaters in their houses, so the inside is just as cold as the outside. Sometimes we can see our breath when we talk in our house, and we wear all our outside clothing and coats and even sometimes hats and gloves, when we are in the house. But, yes, it is starting to warm up a little. We still have cold days but we can see it slowly but surely advancing toward warm. When it gets hot we'll probably look back with fondness at these cold days!

Actually, we didn't feel it. We were in the car, driving all over Portugal at the time it occurred. But we heard people tell about it. It evidentally wasn't a big one, with no damage or injuries. Dad just thought it was interesting so he told me to put it in.
I can only see 2 now too. I used to be able to see them all. Weird??

I think making fish nets by hand is fascinating. Is it crochet?
