Ski Glenwood

We had a visit from Stephanie, Joel and kids. It was great to have them and we wish they could have stayed longer. The kids had snowball fights and we all went to dinner together but had the most fun skiing all day on Friday. The picture above is Stetson arriving back to the lodge on his snowboard. Joel said snowboarding is as much about looking good as being good. Stetson and all their kids looked great in the snow.
This is a picture of Shadrach, Albert, Docker and Joel at the top of the midway lift before we headed down the mountain. We had about 13 inches of fresh snow just before and during the time they were here so the snow was great. Devynne, Porter, Shadrach and Levi all went to the very top of the mountain and skiied down the longest run and Levi said he even made it the whole way without falling. It was a great time and we're so glad they came. Joel and Stephanie got many more pictures than we did so they'll blog more.

You all look so coooold! We hope you had a freezing-good time and that no one got hurt. I guess you don't have to go skiing to fall down a mountain, we just heard from Mary that Brianna almost fell off Mt. Graham, but her Grandpa Richins caught her by the jacket and saved her life! We are glad that you do things together sometimes. And we are glad when everyone is safe at home again.

Glad that you could all go see each other. Too bad no one wants to come see us here in Mississippi. Happy Birthday Marlie and Breanna!!!!

We're racking our brains to see how we can entice people to come see us, but there's a reason "Ski Nebraska" hasn't caught on. :) We just have a great zoo, Church history, and fireworks - we can't compete. Glad y'all had fun!

Plus the SAC museum, the children's museum, and best of all, unlimited nacho libre quotes and applications of countless other great movies to real life situations by the NE Biggs family. And you can't say enough about the fireworks...amazing! We can't wait til the 4th. The big game hardly ended today when we started talking about our trip this summer - Daniel

Daniel says that the NE Biggs is great fun on the 4th. He pretty much has us sold! How humid is the 4th of July there? Just wondering, you know, because of the hair.

It is more humid than Arizona, but less than TX, MO, MS, etc. The weather is usally beautiful in June, then starts getting hot in July (above 80), so it really is not too bad.

Don't worry Esther nobody, except buddy, comes to visit us and were not all the way across the country. (1.5 mi off the freeeway to be exact) We need a gimick. You could go for the "humid, bug infested" and we'll go for "we've got a blow up slide?"

Ya Im sure that will get them to flock here with that gimmick!!! Thanks for that brilliant idea.:) At least Im not the only one.:) Hey just wondering why Im the only one thats not on the contributers list. Is there a reason? So not only do I not get visited by my brothers, but Im left out of the blog. Its okay, Im only number 7. I get it.

You don't know how many times our girls cry because nobody comes to see us! We've had to ban Hannah from the blog; she starts to get violent. Really, she thinks she's missing out. Anger is not an emotion, according to my therapist, so she must just be really sad. Ironically, the family with the most kids is the most mobile - Daniel is the favorite uncle at our house for that reason. :) It is frustrating that we are expected to travel, yet only one family has made the effort to come our way. Yea, we know, we chose to move & we understand everyone is busy and low on funds, yet so are we. So, that said, we probably won't be coming to AZ until Tom & Susan come back. And we will take good care of you if you can come to see us! I only buy Bomb Pops for 4th of July, and it's pretty much all you can eat. My kids love it when that happens! And I like to cook, but I am trying to cook healthier these days so take that for what it's worth. I think you/we have to invite people for a specific occasion or date or it's too open-ended. So, Jer & Er - when would you like to have something at your house? And Esther, when would you like people to come see you? Before you leave MS or when you get to the condo? Let us know & we'll seriously consider coming earlier! Love ya!!

Thank you NE Biggs for your nice comments about us. I must say every time we travel we get angry, feel cramped no matter how big the car is, stink and have short tempers with each other. But I come back to something my wise Devynne once told me when I was in the middle of a loud lecture on a recent journey. She said, "Dad, no matter how hard the trip, when we look back on our trips, it seems like all we remember are the great times." She's right. We love to travel because all we remember is how much fun we had and miraculously the other stuff just fades away. - Daniel
