We love and miss your family! I still drive by your old sometimes neighborhood and want to turn in to visit.

I was sitting in the chapel in Snowflake yesterday before Bill Ballard's funeral, and went onto the blog with my cell phone to show some pictures to Bryan Hamblin. That was when I saw your post. Thanks for doing that.

Nathan, thank you for the link. President Faust has always been one who touched my heart with the things he had to say. I was glad to read how much he had touched the hearts of others as well.

P.S. Rachel, I'm doing good. Still trying to learn how to eat and drink and am now at the stage where I can start having meats of all kinds again just in tiny bites. It's amazing how good things taste when you haven't had them for so long. As of last Wednesday I had lost 42 pounds from my highest weight and 34 since surgery. I'm very glad I did this. Thanks

Bill Ballard's passing was very sad. It was neat to see the whole family at the funeral, however. They talked about how Bill was always a happy person, and that his happiness was contagious to everyone else. That is what I remember most about him. Every time he saw me, he would ask "are you happy?".
I saw Bryan Hamblin for the first time in several years. He seems to be doing great (same old Bryan). I also saw President Day, and Brother Badger. I thought that I might see more people, but the congregation was mostly from Snowflake. Daniel, are you the same age as Wade Udall? He was there, and I talked to him for a little while.

Nathan that was cool for you to go to see everyone. I got to know Bill more when he lived in Safford than St. Johns. I spent a fair amount of time at Ballard's Big O getting new tires once and having my axels realigned almost every week because Joel's little Mitsubishi wasn't an off road 4 wheeler even though I treated it like one. He was a great guy and always seemed to treat me like his only customer...That's probably why they went out of business.
Wade was in the grade between Joel and I. I always liked his house because we could chase rabbits in his yard and he had a rodeo ground in his yard and an air strip. He and I did play on the Highschool football team together which was fun. - Daniel
