Portugal 9-30-07

The new Brazilian couple, Edna and Vicente at the convivio after church today. In the forground is Mara, the lady they are staying with.
Elders Morton and Baxter, our favorite "Mutt and Jeff" dupla...not including the one below, of course. They are being reassigned to another district. We will miss them.

Another "Mutt and Jeff" dupla. Irma Kava who is Tongan and Irma Brady from Utah. They, too, are great missionaries.

Elder Hibbert, our zone leader who is going home this transfer.

Grandma , I have a question. Why do the missionaries transfer? Why couldnt they just stay put for 2 years?

That's funny that they're both named Irma!

Hannah, we feel the same way! But they do it anyway. That way they get to go to areas that might respond to them in a different way than the last one, and they get to know different companions and different people. It's really good for them to transfer, just hard for us.
And Shauna, it is funny. Some of our investigators want to know why all the men in our church are named "Elder" and why all the women are named "Irma" (Sister).
