Christmas Eve morning we had our last district meeting before transfers. That is why we are all wearing ties. We have a traditional tie trade, even the girls. Then we went to the local Chinese restaurant all toghether. See above.
Christmas Eve day, Noelia and Sezinando came over to bring us a present that Ricardo, their son, had painted for us!!
Christmas Eve afternoon at Dona Cristina's house, with her friend Paula. We gave them each one of the pacotezinhas that Rebecca and Rachel sent and they were thrilled with the testimonies even more than the candy. They had to come downstairs to our house and see on our picture wall which children's messages they had received.
Presidente Paulo's sister-in-law and her daugther Alexia. She is 15. I thought maybe 25...but no, 15. Her mother was so excited when I said we have 2 netos (grandsons) that were 15. She said to have them come to Portugal to meet her daughter!

Christmas dinner was pork roast (due to Elder Bass' allergy to poultry), mashed potatoes and gravy, homemade applesauce, broccoli, salad, jello, stuffing, Portuguese bread, and 6 different desserts. I made a pumpkin dessert, like pumpkin pie with a cobbler crust, and fudge; Noelia gave us a chocolate cake; Eduardo brought cookies; Sandra brought sonhos (fried cinnamon bread); Dona Cristina gave us a chocolate mousse and a caramel bread pudding.

Sandra, Francisco's girlfriend brought her children and we didn't know they were coming. So, I hurried up and wrapped some presents for them...some candy and some bubblebath I had for Neosa and a package of tiny balloons I had bought for a picnic a year ago for Diogo. I was embarrassed to give him the balloons, but they turned out to be the hit of the party!
The sister missionaries brought presents for everyone. It was fun. They brought us aprons and a picture of them in a very nice frame.

We love the pictures and its hard to believe it's almost time for you to come home and prepare for another mission...even if that mission is just to hold grand kids. We miss you and look forward to seeing you next month.
Those are good pictures. I think you will really miss it there. But we will be glad to have you back.
