What we've done so far
We have done lots of fun things since we have been here. I kick and scream every time I have to move somewhere new but I have to admit that being able to see and do all these wonderful things with my family is amazing and I truly am grateful. We went to NASA space museum yesterday and the kids loved it. This is Bridger in the dress ups they had there. He played with that forever. I will have to invest in Astraunat (sp?) costumes.
This is the picture of the hope diamond at the natural history museum in DC. That was alot of fun too. We weren't feeling well so there was alot of wining involved but we got through it.
This is a picture of the boys walking through the IRS building. It is a huge building that takes up a whole city block. Shad is starting to enjoy his job. He thinks its really interesting (go figure). He is getting more used to his commute and having to get up at the crack. I like that he goes in early because then he gets off early.
This is a picture of the fam on the fourth in front of our house.
We went and saw the DC temple. What a beautiful temple.
More pictures of the kids at the space museum with the Gunnerson kids.
I have put alot of these pictures on my blog. I think that I have invited everyone to read it but if I didn't and you care to, please email me and I will put you on.

Very cool stuff. I've said this before but from our experience living away from the extended family has its ups and downs. On one hand we miss the family and can't make all the special occasions we would like but on the other hand we love all the activities we do as a family including trips to visit other families. For us all those things just build memories and closeness and its worth it.
When we come visit we would love to visit all those places in your pictures...except maybe the IRS building. I was telling dad I think for the first time next year I'm going to hire an accountant to do my taxes so I don't have Shad typing a subpoena requiring my visit to the IRS. Anyway, D.C. looks cool. - Daniel
Looks like lots of fun. I still haven't seen the DC temple, but hopefully we can do that when we come again. Who are the Gunnersons?
The Gunnersons are a family we met in Florida. Geoff Gunnerson was doing the same tax LLM as Shad and they were in our ward so we bacame friends with them. They just happened to get a job up here at the tax court so it has worked out that we live close enough that we still can hang out and do stuff together. It has been a blessing to know someone here already. It makes the move a little bit easier.

Love the pics! you need to make a whole scrapbook of all your moves and not just dc. so you should start bloging MS and FL and hen print out your blog book! Can't wait to see more.
Thank you for blogging on the family blog. It looks like so much fun and so interesting. Save the air and space museum for when Dad comes. He would love to see that with your kids. Or did you already go there? Is that where your kids dressed up? I can't switch back to the blog to see. Also we can hardly wait to see the fall colors with you, and Hersey, too.
I checked and the NASA space museum is different from the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum. So save that for Dad.
Looks like so much fun. I wish I was in D.C. I have'nt been there in years. The temple there looks amazing. I hope you guys had lots of fun.
