A couple of pictures of Porter and Shadrach skiing today. The water was cold but they stayed with it and had a great time. We went to a big lake between Glenwood and Aspen up in the mountains and I wish we had smell-o-blog because the smell of pine was awesome. Also a couple of rafting pictures from Saturday.

AWESOME!!! What is funner Summer or Winter there? You just have it all! And I'm so impressed that you do it ALL!
Just wait til I get up there I'll show you all up:} We should have a Biggs family games, winter or Summer and all go to C.O. for the events. That will give us all an incentive to get in shape hu?:)

Thats a fantastic idea Rach! : ) We could have a biggs family olympics! I'd have to say it's a tie between winter and summer but it would be better if we did a winter olympics because you guys will do things you probably can't do in AZ unless you travel up the mountain : ) We could do skiing snowboarding sledding tubing snowman builing snow fight ect. But it takes a TON of work to travel so we should do some of that stuff up at the cabin in January if there is still snow. : )

Way to go Porter and Shadrach! How sore were you the next day? After waterskiing (with Rachel) in college I just remember being so sore the next day!
It was more exsausting after you fell probably the fifth time. it took me about 5 times to get it but then i stood up three times after I got it. its really fun. we even got a picture of me wipinout. it didn't hurt as much as I thought it would. We went up to Ruedi and it was really cold, but after a while we became numb and then we didn't really feel the cold until we got back in the boat and started to go fast so the air was really drying us off the cold way. But in all I thought it was fun.

Hannah, remember your dad was skiing on kid sized skis so I'm impressed that he got up on those at all. Someone in our ward was borrowing our adult skis so Nathan went out already at a disadvantage but even still was up pretty quick.
I love both seasons although I have to say I love the snow much more. Nathan told me Joel had a boat too and when they were here we were talking about how much fun it would be to get Joel's boat, ski's if he still has them and our boat together and we could have a blast. Anyway, we're always up for a gathering. - Daniel
where are Annalynne and Emma? Are they on another raft with the other boys. ow was the rafting was it fun/scary? Looks cool!

Analynn and Emma stayed with friends because we weren't sure if they were old enough to enjoy it. In retrospect Analynn would have loved it but Emma is still a little young for that particular trip. We did have two rafts just because we didn't want to crowd and it doesn't cost extra. It's a fun half day trip from the canyon east of town to the river below our house. The kids just got off the raft and walked home and I went back up the river to pick up the car.
We were worried Emma and Analynn would be too cold so they stayed with a babysitter but we will for sure take them next time! It was a blast a little nerve racking on some of the level 4 rapids but there weren't too many of those and only the big kids went on those.

Oh man, you guys know how to adventure.... How did Johnathan do? He looks happy, and then there's Connie with her perpeptual smile. You guys have the funnest family. Wish we could do some of those things.

Daniel, were you old enough to remember when we had a boat? We didn't do fun stuff like skiing, but we did ride around the lake in it and we thought that was pretty fun..except for the mother who had three boys who were always trying to jump in the water. Rebecca was willing to sit in the boat in her life vest and suck her thumb. What an angel!
Thanks Rebecca. Jonathan did great and he always has whenever we're near the water. He loves being on the raft or in the boat and enjoys just dipping his hands in the water. In the raft he hung over the side splashing water.
I do remember our boat although I don't remember how old I was. I remember going to Lyman Lake with some of the uncles. I remember most our trips to Lake Powell with Grandma and Grandpa the Udalls and the Shills. I learned to ski(kind of) behind Grandma's boat.
