We have finally received confirmation from the State that Jonathan's adoption will be final on the 14th of November. We are changing his first name to Ellis and sealing him to our family in the Denver Colorado Temple on the 22nd of November at around 9am.
We're sorry for the late notice. We've been so unsure when the State would confirm the day that we didn't want anyone making plans that would have to be changed later. We would love to have any who are able to come but understand if it's not possible. From Safford it's about 12 hours and from Phoenix it's about 13 hours to drive. Southwest Airlines has some pretty good on-line deals too. I know that's a long drive but since you're driving through the Rocky Mountains it is spectacular.

I have been talking to Daniel about this already, but we are trying to decide between Thanksgiving at Daniel's house, or the week before in Denver. We could probably not swing both trips. Right now, the family is leaning toward the Thanksgiving trip since the kids would not be able to be in the temple anyway.
Daniel, I assume that you meant that you are changing Jonathan's middle name to Ellis, not his first name. Is that right?
Actually his first name will be Ellis. We often call our kids by their middle name anyway so he'll be called Jonathan too.
Sounds good, I too am going to plan on that Erika are you bringing your fam? What are the rest of you planning?
I love the picture!!!! I'm driving up with mom and dad, and wouldn't miss it for the world. I'm excited to see where ya all live.

We're excited to see all of you and to be with you and Ellis in the Temple. (I'm going to have to get used to thinking of Jonathan as Ellis, but I will.) I think the three Safford girls are going to drive up with us and the three Mesa boys are going to fly up, so there will be a good group to welcome him into the family.
