Everything was festive and pretty for the occasion, and of course, Pine cooperated with perfect autumn weather.
We (actually, the men) roasted about 15 turkeys in a pit behind the cabin. Oh my goodness, they were soooo good. They kept them in there all night.
The guys(and Nancy)preparing the turkeys...pulling the tender meat off the bones. We brought some home for Christmas, by the way. Oh, the guy you don't know is Betsy's boyfriend. He is Steve (I think) Clouse.
After dinner, Grandma called a "Giving Thanks" meeting. It was an opportunity for each of my brothers and sisters and their husbands and wives to express gratitude for our many, many blessings. I know these are hard times, but we have so much to be thankful for and it helps to enumerate them sometimes.

It looks like it was a yummy and fun Thanksgiving. I bet it was fun to be the child instead of the parent/grandparent for once. Great pictures.
That looks like fun! And so festive. Who did all the decorating? Tyson was pretty jelous you got pit turkey. He's about ready to build a pit in our back yard.Thanks for the post mom it get's me excited for new years!
I look at the pictures all the time. What a beautiful place to spend a holiday, and fun to be the kids again. Scott was saying how blessed you are to have both of your parents still alive. You will treasure this Thanksgiving for always. Thanks for sharing

Our thanksgiving was fun, but we did not have any turkeys in a pit- I am sure Thomas would be happy to help Tyson build a pit for us!!
