Spring in NE

Spring means painting, gardening, and being outside. I've been getting carried away with chalkboard paint - the red is the back of our front metal door, green in the kitchen, & black around my pots to label the plants. (not my idea - Pottery Barn & Martha Stewart). The kids have been playing lots of b-ball. I started seeds for our veg garden (egg cartons) & have been planting herbs indoors. I'm trying to make my dream kitchen come true. I also put up signs around the house - the one with the mirror is in our entry, Erika's "B" is in the living room, & the garden is in the kitchen. These pix have taken so long to download that I need to go to bed - 5:00 comes awfully early. Love, Shauna

It looks like Spring is a busy time in the Nathan and Shauna Biggs house. It is in the Tom and Susan Biggs house, too. (See our new blog). We are starting with a new roof and will, one by one, make other improvements. I love chalkboard paint, by the way.

I am usually skeptical, but Shauna's creativity always proves me wrong. She has been doing so much springtime stuff, it has been fun to watch. I guess that is what happens when you go through a cold winter like we did. Warm sunshine can do wonders.

Shauna, I painted my garage door to my house(that was always dirty with finger prints)with the black chalk board paint and ellie loves it and i put lists for Jer on it. It is the garage side, so you see it when you come in from the garage. I love it. I love the colors- when I bought my paint i saw that they now make the tintable chalk board paint. It looks great in your house.

I love it, too! And I forgot to say that I love it even more because Hannah painted all the cupboards by herself (3 coats!) last week during her spring break. All I did was tape. Go Hannah, go Hannah! - S

Hannah, my kitchen is next. I will have everything ready in Nov. including the taping all done. Deal? No, I'm just kidding. You did a great job though. Way to go. Love Connie

She seriously would do it. She loves organizing and everything like that. She's going to be a great homemaker.
