The reunion, this year, was so special to me, for many reasons: We had missed the last two years and had never seen the gorgeous cabin. What a wonderful place to gather. It was also so nice to have Nathan and Shauna and their family come all the way from Nebraska to be with us, and then, of course, Connie and her kids came in from Colorado, via Mesa, on Sunday morning. We also loved having Joel and Steph and their family, and Jer and Erika and their family, as well as Rebecca and her kids, Rachel and Tony and their kids, Thomas and Jen and their kids and Mary and Tyson and their kids. We really missed Esther and Shad and their kids, but we hope that they will be able to join us sometime in the future. We had the most people there, of course...no surprise. Grandpa said that they now have 82 great grandchildren, 41 of whom are ours! It was also fun to see Emily and Holly, down from Utah, and other neices and nephews that we don't get to see often. Grandpa and Grandma seemed so happy to have everyone there.
It was Nancy's year, and she did a super job, one that I am nervous to follow. Thank goodness for all our creative kids who will help us do a bangup job, I'm sure.Next year is scheduled for July 18th and 19th.

On Saturday, we had time for baby-holding, water fights, stick twirling and cousin gathering.

There was a carnival for the kids, with a fish pond, basketball throw, etc,

With face painting,

Some of the girls went shopping in Steph's car,

And some of the boys played paint ball.

Some of us even had time to sit around and listen to Grandma expound on the price of things.

On Saturday night, the kids played games,

We heard the story of Ben the Wagon Boy, my great great grandfather, the one who married Olivia Pratt, Parley's oldest daughter.

We also danced and danced. It was such fun to watch everyone dance, especially the teenagers. Too bad all those cute girls are cousins, huh, Josh, Stetson, DeWitt, and Levi?

On Sunday morning, we had church, at which Karl reported on Jesse's mission and Dad and I reported on ours. Then Grandpa and Grandma both spoke. The highlight, of course was the beautiful blessing that Grandpa gave to the family. Then we ate the traditional brisket dinner and visited. One great surprise was to see Connie and her children walking in just as church was about to begin. What a treat that was.

Saying "goodbye" was the hardest part.

thanks for the picts. We had fun and I must say that watching our kids square dance was really fun. I think that this ought to be a tradition!

It was fun! Except for the big o'l bruise I acquired from Joel's rapper watch, when we played the hit the heck out of each other with a newspaper bat game. It was ha-larious though.
